Klipboard, a global provider of business management software, has acquired Savance Enterprise, an enterprise resource planning platform focused on wholesale distributors in the U.S.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Klipboard’s footprint in the U.S. wholesale distribution market and adds an ERP platform designed for distributors operating in sectors such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing and industrial supply. Savance Enterprise’s software integrates accounting, purchasing, sales and warehouse management into a single system and is built to support high transaction volumes across multi-location operations.
Savance Enterprise is currently used by distributors across the United States and processes millions of data points each day, which are used to support day-to-day operational, inventory and sales decisions, the companies said.
“This acquisition strengthens our presence in the wholesale distribution market and brings additional expertise into our business,” Klipboard Chief Executive Ian Bendelow said in a statement. He said the transaction will also allow Savance customers to access a broader range of Klipboard’s cloud-based business management platforms.
Savance Enterprise founder and Chief Executive Jason Plasencia said the deal will provide additional resources to support growth and product development.
“Joining Klipboard gives us access to resources and expertise that will help accelerate our growth and strengthen our ability to serve both new and existing customers,” Plasencia said.
Founded in 1998, Savance initially provided network and software solutions before launching its ERP platform in 1999. The company built its ERP system specifically for wholesale distribution, focusing on usability, system performance, and scalability from single-location businesses to complex, multi-warehouse organizations.
Klipboard serves more than 55,000 enterprise and small and midsize business customers worldwide with vertically focused, cloud-based business management software. The company operates in more than 70 countries and employs more than 1,600 people globally, with offices across Europe, North America, Africa, the Nordic region, and Australia.
The transaction reflects continued consolidation in the enterprise software market serving wholesale distributors, as vendors seek to expand vertically focused capabilities and scale their cloud offerings in North America.
