Mathnasium, a leading North American math education franchise, has selected Amazon Business as its primary purchasing platform to streamline procurement across more than 1,000 U.S. learning centers, Amazon announced Tuesday.
The partnership allows Mathnasium centers to buy classroom and operational supplies, including pens, notepads, toner, and student rewards—through Amazon Business’s centralized platform, which provides access to a wide supplier network, volume pricing, and built-in spend analytics. The goal: to reduce administrative overhead and allow center staff to focus more on student learning.
“At Mathnasium, we know that confidence in the classroom starts with support behind the scenes,” said Aimee Mack, regional vice president for new center Openings at Mathnasium. “That’s why we rely on Amazon Business for our business purchasing needs—so we can spend less time managing supplies and more time empowering students.”
Amazon Business, launched in 2015, now serves more than eight million customers globally and reported $35 billion in annualized gross sales in 2023. It provides purchasing tools for large organizations—including multi-user accounts, spend controls, and consolidated invoicing—and serves 96 of the Fortune 100.
“The equation is simple: trusted selection plus fast delivery equals more time for students,” said Brenda Spoonemore, Vice President at Amazon Business. “Mathnasium is subtracting procurement headaches and replacing them with a streamlined, scalable approach.”
The deal underscores Amazon Business’s increasing penetration in education and other verticals traditionally served by distributors. As Amazon expands its B2B footprint, it continues to compete aggressively with legacy distribution firms by offering low prices, logistics at scale, and digital purchasing tools aimed at simplifying procurement for decentralized organizations.
