Midland Industries, a distributor and manufacturer of pipe, valve and fittings products backed by private equity firm Gemspring Capital, has acquired Industrial Specialties Manufacturing LLC, expanding its product portfolio in pneumatic, vacuum and fluid-control components.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Industrial Specialties Manufacturing, based in Englewood, Colorado, distributes and assembles pneumatic, vacuum and fluid circuitry components used by distributors and original equipment manufacturers. Founded in 1982, the company offers more than 3,000 active stock-keeping units, including fittings, couplings, filters, and valves used in industrial and medical applications.
Midland said the acquisition broadens its exposure to additional end markets and strengthens its position serving OEM customers.
“ISM has built a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise and customer service, and we are pleased to welcome their team to Midland,” said Fabian de Armas, executive chairman of Midland Industries. “This acquisition expands our product breadth and deepens our relationships with both distribution and OEM customers.”
Industrial Specialties Manufacturing supplies components used in industrial, commercial, automotive, and medical device applications. In addition to distributing products, the company provides technical support and custom assemblies for pneumatic and fluid-handling systems.
James Davis, president of Industrial Specialties Manufacturing, said the combination will allow the company to expand its capabilities while maintaining its specialized engineering and customer support.
“Midland’s complementary portfolio, scale and operational resources will enhance our capabilities while preserving the responsiveness and technical expertise that define ISM,” Davis said.
