The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 0.2% in December 2024, seasonally adjusted, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Final demand prices rose 0.4% in November and 0.3% in October.

On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand rose 3.3% for the 12 months ended in December, the largest rise since the 12 months ended February 2023, when the index increased by 4.7%.
The index for final demand less foods, energy and trade services was up 0.1% for the second consecutive month. For the 12 months ended in December, prices for final demand less foods, energy and trade services advanced 3.3%.
