The Producer Price Index for Final Demand increased 0.2% in April 2023, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

Final demand prices decreased by 0.4% in March and were unchanged in February. The index for the final demand increased by 2.3% for the 12 months ended in April.
In April, 80% of the increase in final demand is attributable to the 0.3% increase in prices for final demand services. Prices for final demand less foods, energy and trade services increased by 0.2% in April. The index for final demand increased by 3.4% for the 12 months ended in April.
