Wholesale trade revenues in September 2024 were $674.8 billion, up 0.3% from the prior month but down 0.4% from the same time last year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Total inventories of merchant wholesalers, except manufacturers’ sales branches and offices, were $903.7 billion at the end of September, down 0.2% from the revised August level. Total inventories were up 0.3% from the revised September 2023 level.
The September inventories/sales ratio was 1.34. The September 2023 ratio was 1.33.
