SiteOne Acquires Grove Nursery, Expands Minneapolis Presence

SiteOne Landscape Supply has acquired Grove Nursery, a single-location wholesale nursery distributor in northwest Minneapolis. The move expands SiteOne’s reach in the Twin Cities and marks its third acquisition in 2025.

Grove Nursery serves landscape professionals across the Minneapolis metro area. The company is known for its nursery product selection and customer service. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“The addition of Grove Nursery expands our product offering in Minneapolis and its surrounding suburbs and provides a platform to expand our presence in this growing market,” said Doug Black, SiteOne’s chairman and CEO.

President of Grove Nursery George Ritten said the acquisition gives the company access to new tools and systems to better serve customers.

The Grove deal follows SiteOne’s earlier 2025 acquisitions of Cascade Landscape Supply in Tacoma, Washington, and Millican Nurseries in Loudon, New Hampshire. The company continues to grow through acquisition as part of its strategy to broaden its national footprint and product range.

For the quarter ending March 31, SiteOne reported net sales rose 4% to $939.4 million, up from $904.8 million a year earlier. However, organic daily sales declined 1% due to a delayed start to the spring season, lower commodity pricing, and softer demand in the repair and remodel market. Acquisitions contributed $45.1 million to revenue growth in the quarter.

SiteOne reported a net loss of $27.3 million for the quarter, compared to a loss of $19.3 million in the same period last year. The wider loss was attributed to higher operating expenses.

The company’s second quarter earnings will be out on July 30.
