The Trelleborg Group, an engineered polymer solutions provider headquartered in Sweden, has acquired CRC Distribution, a Robertsdale, Ala.-based distributor in polymer sealing solutions and value-added services in hydraulics, hydropower, oil and gas, pumps and compressors.

The business was acquired through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions division.
CRC Distribution serves the U.S. and Mexican markets. CRC Distribution generates annual external sales of just over SEK 170 million, or about US$16 million.
“As an authorized distributor of Trelleborg’s seals, CRC has demonstrated deep knowledge of sealing applications and outstanding customer service. The acquisition will strengthen Trelleborg’s customer offering, particularly toward mid-sized manufacturing companies and businesses focused on maintenance, repair and operation of industrial equipment,” said Jürgen Bosch, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions’ president.
Trelleborg operates in 40 countries and has three business divisions: Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions and Trelleborg Medical Solutions.
