TopBuild Corp. said it completed three acquisitions and agreed to a fourth, adding about $53 million in annual revenue and deepening its presence across residential, commercial, and industrial construction markets in the U.S. and Canada.
The company bought Insulation Fabrics of Alpharetta, Ga.; Diamond Door Products of Hempstead, Texas; and Performance Insulation Fabricators of Nashville, Tenn. It also signed an agreement to acquire L&L Insulation of Fort Collins, Colo., with closing expected in November.
“We are excited to announce these four transactions, which together add approximately $53 million in annual revenue and strengthen our businesses,” President and CEO Robert Buck said. “For our Specialty Distribution segment, Insulation Fabrics and Performance Insulation Fabricators expand our insulation accessory and mechanical insulation product offerings, while Diamond Door Products better enables us to meet our commercial and industrial customers’ metal building needs and bundle value added solutions for them. For our Installation Services segment, L&L Insulation expands our geographic reach in the mountain states.”
Deal specifics: Insulation Fabrics distributes insulation netting, vacuum bags for insulation removal and protective equipment, with about $6.1 million in annual revenue. Diamond Door Products fabricates and assembles insulated knock-down steel door systems for commercial and industrial metal buildings, generating roughly $30.4 million annually and operating additional sites in Albany, Ga., and Elkhart, Ind. Performance Insulation Fabricators distributes and fabricates mechanical insulation for commercial and industrial end markets, with about $8.9 million in annual revenue. L&L Insulation, founded in 2011, installs residential fiberglass and spray foam insulation in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming and produces about $7.2 million annually.
TopBuild said the additions support both sides of its business: Installation Services, which operates more than 200 branches nationwide, and Specialty Distribution, which runs more than 250 branches across the U.S. and Canada.
