Turner Supply, one of the nation’s largest independently owned industrial distributors, has acquired certain assets of Benchmark Industrial Supply in Nashville, Tenn., marking its fourth transaction since 2019 and its 10th overall.
Founded in 1994 by Deborah and Frank Waller, Benchmark Industrial Supply has served manufacturers for three decades with a focus on maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, particularly abrasives, buffs, and compounds. As part of the deal, Benchmark’s employees will join Turner Supply, ensure continuity of service, and expand Turner’s capabilities in surface finishing.
“We are excited to welcome the team members from Benchmark Industrial Supply to the Turner Supply family,” Turner Supply CEO Chip Schramm said in a statement. “Their expertise in abrasives and surface finishing complements our existing product portfolio, and together we will continue to provide exceptional value and support to our customers.”
The Benchmark deal follows Turner’s 2024 acquisition of Alabama Industrial Distributors, based in Oxford, Ala. That company, which traces its roots to 1869, has long supplied industrial, construction, construction, construction, construction, construction, institutional and government markets with safety equipment, MRO products, and power-transmission solutions. The move extended Turner’s reach in eastern Alabama and added complementary service capabilities such as e-commerce, vending and kitting.
Turner has also completed other transactions in recent years, including the 2022 purchase of the INPRO/SEAL product line and territory from A-Team Industrial Products, which strengthened its portfolio in rotating equipment, sealing and shaft protection.
The company did not disclose financial terms of the Benchmark or Alabama deals.
