Univar Solutions LLC., Downers Grove, Ill., a distributor of specialty ingredients and chemicals, has acquired UK-based Brad-Chem Holdings. The acquisition includes Brad-Kem, the joint venture co-owned by Brad-Chem and its Belgium-based partner, DEM.

Brad-Chem is a distributor of corrosion control products and lubricant additives, multi-metal corrosion inhibitors, copper passivation, solid lubricants and dispersions for the lubricants, metal treatment, cleaning, deicing and water treatment industries in over 40 European countries. Its primary location is in Lancashire, England.
“This acquisition progresses our ambitious goals to strengthen the support we provide customers across Europe, by offering a larger portfolio of specialty products and additive blending capabilities in the Lubricants and Metalworking Fluids, and Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers (CASE) markets,” said Nick Powell, president of Global Ingredients and Specialties, Univar Solutions.
