Organic sales were up 2.4%. The increase in organic sales reflects volume growth in the communications and security solutions segment, partially offset by volume decline in the utility and broadband segment. Organic sales also removes the impact of the Wesco Integrated Supply divestiture.
Profit was $165.9 million for the quarter.
Full-year sales in 2024 were $21.8 billion, down 2.5% from 2023, with organic sales down 0.6% year over year. Profit was $719.4 million.
“We are pleased with our return to sales growth in the fourth quarter sparked by more than 70% growth year-over-year in our global Data Center business, 20% growth in Broadband Solutions and renewed positive sales momentum in Electrical and Electronic Solutions,” said John Engel, CEO. “This was partially offset by a slowdown with industrial customers and the expected continued weakness in our utility business in the fourth quarter. With that said, our positive momentum has carried into January with preliminary sales per workday, adjusted for M&A, up 5% versus prior year.”
