White Cap, a distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Advanced Fastening Supply (AFS), a Wisconsin-based supplier of fasteners, tools, safety products, and related accessories. This acquisition strengthens White Cap’s position in the Midwest, particularly in Wisconsin, as the company continues its growth strategy through targeted regional expansions.
Advanced Fastening Supply operates three locations in Appleton/Greenville, Madison, and Waukesha, Wisconsin. This acquisition allows White Cap to enhance its ability to meet the growing demand for construction supplies in the region, extending its reach across these key markets.
The acquisition of AFS complements White Cap’s existing product portfolio, enabling the company to offer a wider range of solutions to customers. AFS’s commitment to quality and customer service aligns with White Cap’s values, ensuring a seamless integration of the two companies.
This move is part of White Cap’s broader strategy to expand its North American footprint. Recently, the company also entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Cascade Raider Holdings Ltd., known as Raider Hansen, a Canadian distributor with a strong presence in British Columbia. Raider Hansen operates eight locations across the province and has built a reputation for its technical expertise, customer service, and deep-rooted relationships in the regional construction market. The acquisition allows White Cap to expand its Canadian operations and better serve customers across North America.
“Raider Hansen brings a deep understanding of the regional market and a strong service culture that aligns well with our operations,” said Alan Sollenberger, CEO of White Cap. “Their presence strengthens our Canadian business and expands our ability to serve customers from coast to coast.”
Raider Hansen will join White Cap Canada, part of White Cap’s broader effort to build an integrated service network across North America. The acquisition enhances White Cap’s ability to serve contractors in residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
In addition to its expansion into Canada and Wisconsin, White Cap recently acquired Kris-Con, a Texas-based supplier of specialty construction materials and equipment rentals. Kris-Con operates in the Houston and Austin metropolitan areas and is recognized for its responsive service to commercial contractors. This acquisition strengthens White Cap’s position in the rapidly growing Texas construction market, especially in the infrastructure and commercial development sectors.
“These two acquisitions—Raider Hansen in Canada and Kris-Con in Texas—are aligned with our long-term strategy to deepen regional capabilities, expand our geographic reach, and improve our overall service model,” said Sollenberger.
White Cap, headquartered in Atlanta, operates approximately 500 branches across North America and employs more than 10,500 people. The company serves approximately 200,000 customers and offers a wide range of construction products, including concrete accessories, tools, equipment, building materials, fasteners, and safety supplies.
Since becoming an independent entity in 2020, following its separation from HD Supply, White Cap has made several strategic acquisitions to enhance its capabilities and expand its market reach. Financial terms of the Raider Hansen and Kris-Con deals were not disclosed.
