The Producer Price Index rose 0.2% in October, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The index for final demand goods advanced 0.6%, while prices for final demand services fell 0.1%.

On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand rose 8% for the 12 months ending in October.
Prices for processed goods fell 0.2% in October, while the index for unprocessed goods fell 11.7%. Prices for services grew 0.3%. Prices for final demand energy increased by 2.7%. Prices for final demand goods less foods, energy and trade services advanced 0.2% in October.
For the 12 months ended in October, the index for final demand less foods, energy and trade services moved up 5.4%.
