Winsupply Acquires Minority Stake in Mined XAI

Winsupply, national distributor of residential and commercial construction products based in Dayton, Ohio, has acquired a minority stake in Mined XAI, an explainable AI (XAI) company also based in Dayton.

The two companies have collaborated for three years. Now, Winsupply has made an investment in developing XAI solutions for supply chain, purchasing, distribution and fleet management.  

“This strategic investment keeps Winsupply at the forefront of leveraging this transformative technology to support entrepreneurs in a business environment of growing complexity,” said Robert DiTommaso, president of Winsupply’s Support Services Group. “We have seen the impact of using AI in our operational processes, and we anticipate this relationship will accelerate our overall business operations.” 

With the move, Winsupply aims to deliver additional value to its more than 670 local companies and regional wholesalers across the U.S.
